About Me
Holistic Wellness Coach
Welcome to
Kokoro Wellbeing
Kokoro is a Japanese word that means heart, mind, body and soul all in one. I wanted to bring forth a bit of my background and roots and I thought Kokoro would be perfect as inner peace and stillness within our heart, mind, body and soul can counter and relieve the chaos and stresses we may encounter in our daily lives. And by having this inner peace and stillness within ourselves, we can cultivate wellbeing.
I am here to help you shift your physical and mental state, empowering you to return to your essence and realize how your own innate wisdom can guide you towards growth and transformation.
I hope to share the ancient practices of the East and be of service by helping you optimize your health and increase connection with heart, mind, body and soul. I would be honored to be a part of your journey.

About Me
I was born and raised in Japan and my Japanese upbringing was only one of the many diverse early influences. My parents are of Chinese descent, a Buddhist and a Catholic. They, themselves were born and raised in Indonesia, an ex-Dutch colony. These various cultures and subsequent experiences and training have shaped my way of looking at the world, our place in it, our connections with each other, with nature and the earth, and the body/mind relationship itself.
My exposure to various ways of thinking continued throughout my childhood in Japan where I attended an international school and was exposed to a wide variety of nationalities and cultures – an experience which enabled me to grow up seeing the world both through my own eyes and from a range of different perspective.
The drive to further expand my understanding and awareness led me into the study and practice in a variety of Eastern ancient arts including Acupressure, Reiki, Tai Chi, Neigong, Baguazhang and Qigong as well as Breathwork.
Along the way, I also pursued martial arts and have a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu and have achieved Pro-Kick Silver level in kickboxing. My particular interest though is in the body/heart-mind relationship, which is a key aspect in all these disciplines.
It is my desire to share this ancient gem of the East with the community to bring awareness of the essence of what it means to be healthy and whole. To share the self-healing techniques that Qigong and Breathwork offer with others and to help enhance their well-being.
I am a Level III Advanced Qigong Instructor certified by the National Qigong Association of America, a Level II Radiant Lotus Women’s Qigong and Zhang Fu Gong (Organ Cleansing & Strengthening) instructor certified by Daisy Lee and Francesco Garripolli, the world-renowned founders of the programs, a Shibashi Qigong instructor certified by Sifu Wing Cheung of the Tai Chi, Qigong and Feng Shui Institute, as well as a TaiChi instructor. I am also a certified Face Yoga Instructor and an Advanced Soma Breath Coach. I have taught Qigong and TaiChi at a fitness studio in North Wales UK, at the annual World Kobudo Federation martial arts convention and am part of the pain management team at Modern OT in Ottawa, Canada. I am currently expanding my training in Neurosomatic Breathwork Therapy and Coaching.
